Animal Care Technician
Location : Downtown NOLA - 70118
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7 AM-3 PM, with some weekend and emergency shifts required

About the Role
As an Animal Care Technician , you'll be responsible for providing routine care to research animals in a supportive and dynamic environment. You'll play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of animals while adhering to strict clinical and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and provide food, water, and medications to animals.
- Maintain sanitary housing and working conditions.
- Observe and report animal conditions, behavior, and health concerns.
- Collect specimens and assist with animal restraint as needed.
- Perform minor cage maintenance and ensure appropriate animal housing.
- Follow specific safety precautions and protocols when working with potentially hazardous agents.
