Mental Health Clinician Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional to provide individual and group therapy to HIV-positive individuals with co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions to support clients in achieving their goals and addressing their needs.
- Conduct home assessments to determine client needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Manage client cases effectively, ensuring access to necessary mental health and social services.
- Prioritize client and staff safety by implementing crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies.
- Offer community education and training related to mental health and substance abuse issues.
- Implement and monitor client-centered treatment plans under supervision, if unlicensed.
- Deliver 25 hours of direct clinical services per week, maintaining high-quality care standards.
- Participate in ongoing education and training sessions as required by grants.
Requirements and Experience:
- Registration as an AMFT, ACSW, or APCC.
- 1-2 years of experience in the mental health field, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
- Strong background in case management and coordinating client services.
- Ability to manage crisis situations effectively and ensure client stability.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and best practices in mental health treatment.
- Willngness to travel between sites within a 40-50 mile radius to meet with patients.
Schedule and Compensation:
- Monday-Friday, 8:45 am - 5:30 pm
- $37/hour benefits
