">Medix is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Program Director to lead and oversee mental health and addiction programs within our Behavioral Health Department.
This role focuses on program development, stakeholder engagement, staff supervision, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health and addiction support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive health promotion programs aligned with agency goals.
- Conduct needs assessments, research, and data analysis to develop evidence-based strategies.
- Collaborate with community members and organizations to create culturally responsive interventions.
- Integrate traditional knowledge and practices into health promotion initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and organizations.
- Facilitate community consultations to ensure programs address local needs.
- Partner with health services and government agencies to advocate for mental health and addiction resources.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and share best practices.
- Represent the agency at meetings, conferences, and events related to health promotion.
Program Management & Evaluation
- Lead weekly Case Conference meetings.
- Develop program timelines, work plans, and oversee resource allocation.
- Monitor program activities, evaluate outcomes, and generate reports to assess effectiveness.
- Utilize evaluation findings to refine and sustain programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of program implementation and outcomes.
Supervision & Team Leadership
- Oversee and support Mental Health Clinicians, Addiction Counselors, and Psychosocial Case Managers.
- Foster a collaborative, culturally responsive, and professional work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and provide professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with clinical and medical documentation standards through quality assurance reviews.
- Monitor service delivery data, staff caseloads, schedules, and performance metrics.
- Approve staff schedules, disciplinary actions, and annual evaluations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Licensed or certified mental health professional registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), including LCSW, LMFT, psychologist, or psychiatrist.
- Management experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience, including at least one year post-licensure overseeing a team of mental health/substance abuse clinicians, counselors, and case managers.
- Education: Master's degree in Behavioral Science (MSW, Psychology, MFT).
- Oversight: Ability to supervise Certified/Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADA/LADC).
