Position Overview :
The Clinical Research Billing Analyst plays a key role in supporting financial operations for clinical trials. This position requires a strong background in research coordination along with experience in financial processes, billing, and coverage analysis. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker, problem solver, and comfortable working independently in a highly autonomous role.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct billing reviews in EPIC and interpret coverage analysis (CA) within clinical trial protocols.
Assist with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) tasks, including working in QuickBooks (training provided if detail-oriented).
Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve billing discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with financial and regulatory guidelines for research billing.
Support the ongoing development of internal processes, with the potential to transition coverage analysis back in-house .
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience :
Background as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) with strong business, financial, or administrative skills.
Experience with research billing, coverage analysis, or financial processes in a clinical trial setting.
Familiarity with CTMS systems and EPIC for billing review.
Skills & Attributes :
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills .
Ability to work independently and take initiative in a highly autonomous role.
Detail-oriented, especially in financial documentation and billing processes.
Comfortable balancing research and financial responsibilities.
Bilingual in Spanish and English (a plus but not required).

Position Details :
Salary Range : $61,000 - $72,000
Schedule : Monday – Friday, standard business hours (flexible start times)
Location : Hybrid; must be able to commute at least once per quarter. Preference for local candidates but open to remote applicants within a reasonable driving distance.
