Overview :
The Project and Investment Manager is responsible for overseeing technical operations. This role includes managing various services across the organization, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and align with company goals.
Essential Functions - Project and Investment Management :
Identify, plan, and direct engineering projects, ensuring timely completion of capital investments, process improvements, quality initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Determine tasks and resources required for successful project execution.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and plans.
Implement recovery strategies to address overdue tasks and deliverables.
Analyze critical project paths and risks, deploying mitigation strategies.
Lead global investment projects for local teams.
Manage the local capital expenditure (CAPEX) budget.
Communicate project progress to stakeholders and senior management.
Additional Responsibilities :
Ensure compliance with regulatory, corporate, and normative requirements for projects, transfers, and site operations, analyzing gaps and implementing corrective action plans.
Provide technical support to Operations, Sales, and Technical Services teams.
Oversee the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the Quality System within the department.
Develop and manage the department’s budget, tracking expenses and making periodic updates based on changing assumptions.
Anticipate departmental needs based on long-term forecasts, strategic company direction, and customer requirements.
Establish and monitor departmental dashboards, analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify deviations from established guidelines and opportunities for improvement (Hoshin-Kanri).
Validate and consolidate CAPEX-related applications for the site.
Develop and maintain the site’s master plan for infrastructure and ensure the successful execution of engineering projects.
Required Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Proven experience as a Project Manager in CAPEX projects within the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulations.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical, judgmental, and problem-solving skills.
Extensive knowledge of financial aspects related to project management, including forecasting, budgeting, cost estimation, business case development, and scope management.
Proficient in complex project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
Experience working with government agencies and regulatory standards in the relevant field.
