Overview
We are seeking a strategic and emotionally intelligent Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead day-to-day operations within our growing plastic surgery practice. Depending on experience, the COO may also oversee our three affiliated entities. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the plastic surgery center and potentially other entities, ensuring seamless and efficient workflow across all departments.
- Execute the CEO’s strategic vision and contribute to long-term planning and decision-making.
- Evaluate and optimize existing workflows, creating and implementing more efficient operational systems.
- Manage and mentor department leads, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous development.
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive operational improvements and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and best practices across healthcare operations.
- Cultivate a strong, inclusive workplace culture aligned with the organization’s values.
- Lead initiatives to adopt and integrate advanced technologies into practice operations.
- Report to the CEO (or to the CMO if at a manager level) and collaborate closely with senior leadership.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- C-suite, director, or senior manager experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (plastic surgery, general surgery, aesthetics etc.)
- Proven track record of operational leadership and organizational development
- Strong management skills and high emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Ability to work with and manage diverse personalities
- Experience auditing, analyzing, and improving processes
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong ability to innovate and lead change
- Tech-savvy and comfortable leveraging modern tools for operational improvements
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience in a high-functioning plastic surgery practice
- Background in a larger healthcare system with a readiness to transition to a more agile, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to thrive in a high-growth, low-red-tape operation
