Clinical Research Coordinator – Ophthalmology Research
Location: Seattle, WA (On-site)
Schedule: Monday – Friday
Compensation: $35 - $40 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) to join our Ophthalmology Research Department at a leading academic institution in Seattle, WA. The CRC will play a crucial role in supporting clinical research studies by coordinating study activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and facilitating participant enrollment. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage multiple ophthalmology clinical research studies from initiation to closeout.
- Screen, recruit, and enroll study participants, ensuring informed consent is obtained.
- Schedule and conduct study visits, collect data, and maintain accurate research records.
- Adhere to study protocols and ensure compliance with IRB, FDA, and institutional guidelines.
- Monitor study progress, address deviations, and report adverse events as required.
- Serve as the primary liaison between investigators, sponsors, study participants, and regulatory agencies.
- Maintain and update study documentation, including case report forms (CRFs) and electronic databases.
- Assist with grant applications, budgets, and financial tracking for research projects.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred (equivalent experience will be considered).
- Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory compliance, and IRB processes.
- Experience with ophthalmology research or medical research preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic data capture systems.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced academic research setting.
