We are looking for a motivated and experienced Human Resources Specialist to become an integral part of our team and help shape the future of our practice.
Job Summary:
As the Human Resources Specialist, you will work closely with the Practice Administrator and Controller to oversee and execute all HR functions, including recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring a positive, productive, and engaging work environment while supporting the growth and success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage talent acquisition, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and job offer extensions.
- Conduct organizational onboarding, including paperwork processing, compliance training, and benefits enrollment.
Employee Relations & Support
- Serve as the primary liaison for employee concerns, providing counseling and guidance on performance, discipline, and grievance issues.
- Develop and oversee employee engagement, retention initiatives, and recognition programs.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor regulations, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and Department of Labor requirements.
- Process payroll in collaboration with the Controller and manage employee benefits.
- Administer short- and long-term disability claims, workers’ compensation, and ergonomic accommodations.
Performance Management & Organizational Development
- Oversee performance appraisal systems and assist in the annual compensation review process.
- Support leadership with staff development and career path initiatives to motivate and inspire employees.
Special Projects & Strategic Planning
- Partner with the Practice Administrator to develop and execute new initiatives aimed at improving staff morale and operational excellence.
Must-Have Skills:
- Experience: 3–5 years of real-world HR experience (healthcare experience is not required).
- Comprehensive HR Expertise: Recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (advanced business degree or HR certification preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar tools.
