What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Field Technician position at Medix?
Responsibilities :
- Learn all aspects of the process with the goal of being able to troubleshoot any deviations that may result in reliability issues or deficiencies.
- Learn and operate computer controls system of the reactor.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
- Perform inspections of equipment and daily preventative maintenance tasks as required.
- Safely troubleshoot, maintain, and assist in the repair mechanical and electrical systems including valves, piping, pumps, motors, etc.
- Perform lock-out tag-out correctly, and safely permit maintenance work including overseeing of contractors as necessary.
- Providing process improvement feedback and diagnosis of process bottlenecks
- Establishing safe systems and procedures for individuals and groups working with potentially dangerous and combustible chemicals, particularly but not limited to natural gas, hydrogen, hydrogen chloride, carbon powders and metal salts
- Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
- Upkeep of regular usage logs and miscellaneous record keeping
