Position Overview
The Desktop/Help Desk TDR will be responsible for providing hands-on support for a high volume of desktop equipment, ensuring end-user satisfaction, and maintaining optimal functionality of IT systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with working in a fast paced environment, has excellent communication skills, and preferably some background in healthcare IT support.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support: Provide hands-on support for desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software troubleshooting, installation, and configuration.
Incident Management: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktop equipment, operating systems, and applications. Utilize ticketing systems to manage and prioritize support requests.
End-Point Networking: Understand and work with the networking team for troubleshooting and standardization of systems.
Customer Service: Communicate effectively with end-users to understand their technical issues and provide clear, timely solutions. Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.
Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and system configurations for future reference and troubleshooting.
Fast-Paced Environment: Adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a high-volume support environment.
Healthcare IT Support (Optional but Preferred): Apply knowledge of healthcare IT systems and protocols to provide specialized support if applicable.
Qualifications
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a desktop/help desk technician role or similar position.
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with a high volume of desktop equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with endpoint networking and connectivity issues.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple support requests simultaneously.
Healthcare Experience (Preferred): Experience working within a healthcare setting or with healthcare IT systems is a strong plus.
Certifications (Preferred): Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or similar are advantageous.
Schedule: 8-5pm with some overtime/flexibility needed
