Duties / Responsibilities :
- Co-design, assembly, and testing of optical systems for a range of applications (e.g., flow cytometers, PCR systems, custom microscopes, and specialized optical sensors with unique imaging and illumination needs).
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Work alongside mechanical engineers to define tolerances, develop alignment methods, and implement opto-mechanical designs.
- Conduct hands-on testing, data collection, and analysis, presenting findings to project teams and customers.
- Provide support to manufacturing engineers.
- Be available onsite at our Sunnyvale location for optics testing and troubleshooting support.
- Troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiently.
- Contribute to both new and existing optics development projects, either independently or as part of small teams. Innovation is welcomed, but the ability to operate within project constraints and ensure compatibility with legacy designs is also essential.
