Overview:
We are a growing medical practice looking for a dedicated, friendly, and efficient Medical Receptionist to join our team. This role will be based primarily at our Wexford office.
- Title: Medical Receptionist/Patient Access Representative
- Location: Wexford, PA
- Pay: 18-20/hour
- Hours: Monday to Friday. Either 8-4 or 9-5 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, coordinate, and reschedule patient appointments as necessary.
- Greet patients courteously when they sign in and out of the office.
- Record and verify necessary patient information to ensure accuracy.
- Answer telephone calls, screen calls, and take messages in a polite and timely manner.
- Maintain and update physician schedules to ensure proper patient appointments.
- Assist patients in completing necessary forms.
- Collect co-pays and outstanding balances from patients.
- File charts and paperwork into designated areas.
- Keep the workspace and waiting area clean and orderly.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient medical records and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Dependable and committed to following up with patients.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Prior medical receptionist experience is preferred but not required.
Schedule/Shift:
- Shifts rotate between 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM every other day for phone coverage.
