The Pharmacy Technician will assist the Pharmacist with the input, filling, and dispensing of prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all regulatory standards. This position will involve performing various pharmacy functions, including prescription filling, IV compounding, customer service, inventory management, and other duties as required.
Responsibilities / Job Duties :
- Assist the Pharmacist with input, filling, and dispensing prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Perform filling and / or IV compounding of prescriptions with attention to detail and in a timely manner.
- Follow all rules and regulations of regulatory entities when filling prescriptions.
- Answer telephone calls, assist callers as appropriate, and refer to the Pharmacist when necessary.
- Prepare medications for delivery to the facility according to the established delivery schedule.
- Assist walk-in customers or direct them to the appropriate department.
- Assist with the ordering of medications from wholesalers and manage inventory effectively.
- Help with Medication Returns and E-Kit management.
- Maintain a valid Pharmacy Technician License / Certification.
- Comply with all Corporate Initiatives and utilize available tools and resources appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist or management
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Schedule / Shift : M-F : 2 : 30pm to 11pm (and every other weekend)
