Position Summary :
As a key member of our care team, the Staff Therapist provides virtual patient care through video and telephonic appointments. This role plays a crucial part in shaping the future of virtual mental health care, making services more accessible, affordable, and effective for all. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently without supervision.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat adult and adolescent mental health patients.
- Provide outpatient tele-mental health therapy services through video and phone communication channels, ensuring the highest standard of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure timely and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records, reports, test results, and medical assessments to diagnose and treat patients effectively.
- Conduct patient interviews to assess needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and meetings with directors as required.
- Consistently meet or exceed clinical quality and patient care standards in adherence to department policies and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate medical records.
- Demonstrate familiarity with various virtual healthcare services, including medical second opinions, treatment decision support, virtual primary care, and tele-dermatology.
- Support the Medical Director and product team in the development of new services.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and federal and state health information privacy laws.
