Job Title : Research Photographer
Position Summary :
The Research Photographer is a vital member of the clinical research team, responsible for capturing high-quality images to support ongoing clinical trials. This role involves utilizing advanced imaging technologies, collaborating with research staff and sponsors, and maintaining compliance with research protocols. The Research Photographer will ensure timely submission of study images while upholding the highest standards of patient care and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Obtain and maintain certifications for study imaging modalities (e.g., OCT, OCTA, FA, FAF, CFP).
- Submit study images promptly (within 1-2 days; same-day submission for screening images).
- Collaborate with research coordinators, assistants, and sponsors to address imaging queries.
- Perform blood draws and IV infusions for imaging procedures (where permitted by state law).
- Collect and process blood specimens per protocol guidelines.
- Interpret imaging results using standardized terms (e.g., hyperfluorescence, hypofluorescence, OCT reflectivity).
- Maintain detailed knowledge of procedure manuals and research protocols.
- Train newly hired staff in photography techniques and imaging equipment usage.
- Support recruitment efforts by identifying suitable patients for clinical trials.
- Map out lesion sizes using diagnostic imaging equipment.
- Participate in and pass advanced training
