What are the responsibilities and job description for the Triage / Clinical RN position at Medix?
The Triage / Clinical RN role is a mix of Triage Nurse and Urology Clinic Nurse responsibilities. The Urology RN is responsible for providing professional nursing Assessments, prioritizing treatments according to the urgency of the need, and providing medical care to patients at the clinic.
Triage RN Responsibilities :
- Use critical thinking and nursing and triage skills to assess patient problems, both in the office and on the phone, to determine disposition of patients.
- Facilitate patient care and document all communication into the electronic health record.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and team members.
- Consistently demonstrate correct handling of procedure specimens per providers orders, including appropriate identification, labeling, dating and disposition of the specimen.
- Communicate physician treatment plan; lab / imaging results to patients and document appropriately within the EMR.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA regulations and completes required staff training.
- Maintains a clean and safe work area.
