This full-time position involves delivering primary care and addiction treatment within our inpatient substance abuse program located in Brooklyn, NY.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient admissions and physical examinations.
- Perform comprehensive medical history and physical assessments.
- Prescribe medications and manage drug treatments for patients.
- Review and evaluate medications to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Diagnose and treat medical conditions stemming from chronic substance use disorders.
- Collaborate to develop and manage treatment plans aligned with patient needs.
- Foster a warm and welcoming environment for patients.
- Valid Family Nurse Practitioner license.
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic capabilities.
- Proficient in prescribing medication and managing treatment plans.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in addiction treatment is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Current New York State License and Registration.
- DEA license permitting the prescription of narcotics.
- Data 200 waiver ownership or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Experience in addiction treatment is a plus.
