Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and patient observations.
- Perform patient rounds to monitor health and well-being.
- Document patients’ medical histories and symptoms accurately.
- Develop and enhance individualized patient care plans.
- Order, administer, and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose health conditions and communicate findings to the on-call physician.
- PMHNP/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
- Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with elderly patients.
- Outgoing and friendly demeanor.
- Enrollment in Medicare is preferred.
- Valid PMHNP/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner License in the state of NY.
- Proven track record of professional experience in psychiatric nursing.
