Job Summary
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the assigned MedTrans fleet, including proper maintenance, scheduling, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers. Ensure compliance with all state Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
Optimize daily routes and activities based on branch and fleet workloads, as well as available customer order information.
Ensure all drivers are properly trained according to MedTrans requirements.
Maintain all equipment in accordance with the MedTrans vehicle maintenance policy.
Recruit, hire, train, and discipline all drivers. Conduct regular meetings with drivers as required by DOT and/or company policy.
Lead day-to-day activities of employees. Assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work, direct efforts, and provide technical guidance on complex issues.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience:
Experience managing and dispatching drivers, using routing software.
At least 2 years of experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
Intermediate knowledge of Transportation Costing and Motor Carrier Operations.
Basic skill level in Microsoft Excel, including opening a workbook, inserting rows, selecting font style and size, formatting cells, using copy, paste, and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming worksheets, inserting columns, selecting chart styles, inserting worksheets, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check, and printing worksheets.
Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint, including inserting, rearranging, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list levels, adding, centering, and editing text, changing views, inserting tables and notes, moving objects, printing outline view, and running slide shows.
Basic skill level in Microsoft Word, including opening documents, cutting, pasting, and aligning text, selecting font types and sizes, changing margins and column widths, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures, and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review panes, and print functions.
Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day for up to 6 days a week.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $60,320.00 - $87,360.00 Annual.
This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible.
Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
