Job Overview
As a key member of the Medline team, this role oversees the planning and management of global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will lead teams in ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership
- Directly manage professional employees/teams or non-professional employees through supervisors.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
- May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact.
- Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops recommendations for new policies or modifications to existing ones.
- Supply Chain Management
- Analyze, resolve, or escalate inventory issues.
- Ensure daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks of supply planning teams meet standards.
- Resolve daily supply issues and direct team regarding issue resolution and continuous improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Communicate with senior Inventory Management and service issues with short- and long-term recommendations on resolution.
- Work collaboratively with other Medline divisions and functions to ensure business success.
Requirements:
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Experience
- At least 4 years manufacturing, distribution, or purchasing experience.
- Experience in managing global supply chain operations.
- Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, supply and demand management, and forecasting.
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
- Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Work Experience
- At least 2 years of experience directly managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
- Experience in import logistics, inventory planning, and transportation.
- Knowledge and Skills
- Experience with SAP.
