The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the daily administration and operation of the warehouse. This includes receiving, storing, shipping, and reporting materials in accordance with established procedures. The supervisor will also direct and supervise warehouse staff, reviewing operating procedures and ensuring equipment maintenance and space utilization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight of warehouse operations including processing, packaging, and storage of supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure overtime is managed effectively.
- Account for all materials and supplies in the warehouse facilities.
- Audit goods received into the warehouse.
- Cultivate a productive and safe work environment by coaching and mentoring team members.
- Ensure accurate completion of routine paperwork.
- Collaborate with customer service to resolve warehouse-related issues.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day activities of employees.
- Assign, monitor, and review progress and accuracy of work.
- Provide technical guidance on complex issues.
- Contribute to hiring, firing, and performance reviews.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree preferred.
Work Experience
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience coaching, mentoring, and training staff.
- Minimum 3 years of warehouse experience.
