Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Registrar to join our team. The Registrar will play a crucial role in managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental or medical office. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent customer service while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in all records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient registration processes, including collecting and verifying personal information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix or Meditech systems.
  • Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries from patients.
  • Assist patients with insurance verification and coding for services rendered.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
  • Provide support to dental or medical staff as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Skills

  • Proficiency in office management software, particularly Dentrix or Meditech.
  • Experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role within a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
  • Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
  • Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 3 years current experience as office registrar
  • MA NOTARY REQUIRED (MUST BE BONDED/INSURED!) - Please include in profile. Bond and Notary are required in order to present traveler to client. Client will not pend.
  • Will service Birthing Unit Administratively - Will process Birth Certificates
  • HS graduate or GED
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, other health care providers required.
  • Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple job tasks on a daily basis to meet the needs of the department required.
  • Knowledge of Meditech/Excel & Word preferred.
  • Valid Driver License required for this need
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
  • Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $29.96 - $34.85 per hour

Expected hours: 32 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
