Responsibilities
- Manage patient registration processes, including collecting and verifying personal information.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records in Dentrix or Meditech systems.
- Process medical collections and handle billing inquiries from patients.
- Assist patients with insurance verification and coding for services rendered.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations regarding patient privacy and data security.
- Provide support to dental or medical staff as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Skills
- Proficiency in office management software, particularly Dentrix or Meditech.
- Experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role within a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Strong typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Knowledge of medical coding practices is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements
- 3 years current experience as office registrar
- MA NOTARY REQUIRED (MUST BE BONDED/INSURED!) - Please include in profile. Bond and Notary are required in order to present traveler to client. Client will not pend.
- Will service Birthing Unit Administratively - Will process Birth Certificates
- HS graduate or GED
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, other health care providers required.
- Ability to prioritize and accomplish multiple job tasks on a daily basis to meet the needs of the department required.
- Knowledge of Meditech/Excel & Word preferred.
- Valid Driver License required for this need
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision/assistance
- Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
- Knowledge of medical terminology required
- Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prostheses that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
