About the Role - Required to be ECHO Board Certified and/or have completed a Cardiac Fellowship

Responsibilities

• Shift : variable- 8,10,12 hour shifts
• Practice setting : high volume inpatient heart center
• Number of Operating Rooms : 30
• On call : The call rotation is 1:5 with first call every eighth night, no second call.
• Cases :primarily cardiac and vascular, there is no OB or trauma.
• Provide anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and other complex cardiac surgeries.
• Cardiac Cases per day- 6-8 cases
• Will NOT be required to supervise CRNAs
• Patient demographic: primarily adult and geriatric- some child
• The physicians provide general and regional anesthesia for a variety of endoscopic, cardiac, orthopedic, pediatric, obstetric, cosmetic, and general surgical procedures.
• Participate in pre-operative evaluations and post-operative care of cardiac patients.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible (within 5 years of eligibility) or Board Certified in Anesthesia - REQUIRED
• ECHO Board Certified and/or Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained (to be complete prior to start) - REQUIRED
• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship-Trained - HIGHLY PREFERRED
• NY License (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
• BLS, ACLS, PALS (by time of start) - REQUIRED

Pay range and compensation package

• Compensation: $650,000 per year
