JOB SUMMARYPeriod of PerformanceThe term of the contract shall be for a period of two (2) years, starting December 01, 2024 through November 30, 2026. The contract may be renewed by the Facility for a period of one (1) successive one-year period under the same prices, terms, and conditions as in the original contract.PurposeThe Facility is seeking to establish a contract for a Medical Director at the State Veterans Nursing Home, located in Tradition, Mississippi.Scope of Services, Specifications and Requirements : Responsible for the overall coordination of all medical care at the Mississippi State Veterans Homes, including, but not limited to : Coordination with attending physicians, therapists, and podiatrists.Reviewing the credentialing and privileging process.In an emergency, if a patient's attending physician(s) is unavailable, the Medical Director will be called to advise the Mississippi State Veterans Home concerning the care of the patient.Serve on the Mississippi State Veterans Home committees, which include patient care consultations, infection control, pharmaceutical services, patient care policy, utilization review, etc., and assist the administrator in implementing committee recommendations. Minutes of these meetings will be furnished to the Facility as requested.QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD).Board Certified.Valid State medical license to practice in Mississippi.3 years of experience in Healthcare Leadership in managing healthcare teams or departments.Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to improve patient care and organizational outcomes.Understanding of healthcare finances, budgeting, and cost-effective practices.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with staff, patients, and stakeholders.Job Types : Full-time, ContractPay : $138.00 - $155.00 per hourMedical Specialty : Primary CareSchedule : Day shiftEducation : Bachelor's (Preferred)Experience : Medical Director : 3 years (Required)License / Certification : BC / BE (Required)Medical License (Required)Mississippi State License (Required)Ability to Relocate : Mississippi : Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location : In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
