OVERVIEW :
The Medical Records Associate is responsible for gathering the medical records that accompany any IME and sending them to the Reviewing Physician in a timely manner so that the Reviewers can incorporate them into their Report. It is very important that the records are sent to the physician in an organized fashion and in a timely manner so that the physician does not cancel the examination.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Accessing the Document Manager in our proprietary software to retrieve the medical records.
- Identifying the method of delivery for every physician.
- Identifying when records are required to be sorted.
- Reaching out to the requestor / client when the medical records are not available.
- Sending the medical records to the physician in the correct and appropriate manner and method (email, fax, mail).
- System documentation with appropriate outcome and notes with number of pages received and summary of medical record content sent.
- Communicate with the Reviewing Physicians when there is any issue with the medical records. If needed, involve management for any escalated situations.
