What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Coordinator position at MedMatch?
Contract Type : Contract.
Salary : $20-$23 / hr, depending on previous experience.
Location : Clinton Township, MI.
Responsibilities & Duties (not limited to) :
Scheduling, light billing, preparing agenda, insurance pre-authorization / verification, provide follow-up on all unresolved insurance and patient issues.
Keeps current and concise document of patient vital records, phone contacts with patients, Backs up records daily. Filing charts / records appropriately.
Coordinates and completes credentialing and privileging applications. Performs review, analysis, identification, and follow-up of "Red Flag" items; prepares files for review and recommendation by the doctor.
Maintain a clean environment
Minimum Job Requirements :
Experienced Medical biller and worked previously in a medical office.
Reliable transportation.
Team-player.
Pleasant disposition.
Excellent work ethic.
Ability to work well independently and manage time well.
Keeps accurate records.
Good penmanship.
Trustworthy.
Skills, and Abilities :
General office equipment skills, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, information research skills, types 40 wpm with accuracy, report generation.
Basic knowledge of office procedures, computer skills, organization, a pleasant telephone voice and telephone courtesy.
Common sense, patience, courteous, timely, works well independently, excellent work ethic, and brings a positive attitude.
Knowledge of HIPPA Privacy Policy.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of practice.
Working Conditions / Physical Environment :
Work is performed in an office located at the visiting provider's home since patients are treated at their place of residence.
In some cases, the provider may request that you run an errand outside of the office.
Business attire (no jeans, sweats, torn or skin-tight clothing, modest attire).
