Job Description
- Assemble order and prepare good for shipment
- Create required shipping documents and ensure documents are correct
- Assist with a daily review of scheduled shipments and coordinate with Operations Manager to effectively schedule order shipments
- Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability
- Receive and unpack materials and supplies
- Report damage and inventory discrepancies
- Make recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations
- Document and maintain inventory to ensure stock is organized and clean
- Ensure the safety policies are followed throughout the warehouse
Qualifications
- Successful completed high school diploma or equivalent apprenticeship
- Work experience in a warehouse (shipping and receiving) within a manufacturing company
- Proficiency in the use of RF scanners, copiers and document scanners, personal computers, MS Office products and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP)
- experience with standup forklift usage
- Ability to communication effectively in English, both orally and in writing
