About the Job

We are looking for a detail, action, and results oriented planning professional to join our team and assist with our supply chain operations and inventory management. You will be responsible for optimizing and maintaining healthy inventory levels across all our warehouses and enhancing inventory management processes & reporting, allowing us to ensure excellent service to our customers. The successful candidate will work closely with our Operations, Distribution, Purchasing & Sales team to support the companys entire supply chain. This role combines analytical skills & strategic thinking to ensure optimal stock levels that align with business objectives and customer demand. Must demonstrate mature judgement in managing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities :

Inventory Management & Replenishment Planning

Analyze historical demand and forward looking forecast to maintain accurate & healthy stocking levels on all products, accounting for seasonality & product shelf-life dynamics.
Drive the development, implementation and management of inventory planning strategies, metrics & parameters (re-order points, order quantities, etc.) within the ERP system to provide inventory replenishment efficiencies.
Drive the adherence & reporting of established inventory goals for Service Levels, Inventory Turns, Spoilage, Obsolete & Slow-Moving Levels, etc.
Work collaboratively across internal departments optimizing inventory management.

System Support and Management :

Pro-active management of SKU & Vendor Maintenance (creation, auditing, and updating) within ERP system.

Extract information from our system for analysis and data-driven decision making.

Become the Inventory / Purchasing system Subject Matter Expert (SME).

Purchasing / Supplier Considerations :

Supports sourcing new products as requested to meet business needs.

Assist with cost management and maintenance to ensure accurate POs and inventory costs.

Acts with Foodservice urgency related to vendor and product opportunities.

Qualifications & Desired Skills

Bachelors degree preferred with minimum 1-3 years relevant experience or equivalent experience in Sourcing, Purchasing, Replenishment / inventory management or related field. Experience in Foodservice or Retail distribution is a plus.

Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.

Quick learner with the ability to adapt and handle multiple priorities with ease.

Experience with Inventory Management Systems (MRP,DRP,ERP, etc) is a plus.

Energetic embracing of the unknown and willingness to find solutions.

Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams.

Well-developed, data driven decision making skills

Strong verbal & written communication skills.

P.M. or APICS Certified, preferred.

Abilities Required

Occasional handling of products up to 40 lbs. as necessary

Ability to work in a cold storage distribution center environment.
