Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will operate advanced CT scanners to produce high-quality images for medical diagnosis.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Operating CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue
- Positioning patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Setting controls on related equipment, monitoring patient and equipment safety
- Assisting radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media when necessary
- Evaluating CT scans for technical quality, collating processed images, and labeling them appropriately
- Scheduling patients for procedures and assisting with clerical tasks
Key Requirements:
- Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Tech
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
- Licensure in most states
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
