MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel assignment in Chesapeake, Virginia.
Job Description
This role requires the selected candidate to perform technical assistance duties in the Interventional Radiology Department, working closely with the IR team to ensure seamless operation of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting.
- Operate conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
- Assist the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician.
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
Requirements
- Current License in good standing
- Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
- Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting.
