We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to work on a temporary basis at one of our top healthcare facilities.
Job Description
- Operate CT equipment to produce high-quality cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary, ensuring optimal image quality and patient comfort.
- Set controls of related equipment, monitor patient and equipment, making adjustments as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Collaborate with radiologists to assist with imaging procedures, start IVs, inject contrast media if applicable, and dispense oral contrast to patients.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label them appropriately for further analysis.
- Schedule patients for procedures, assist with clerical functions, and charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record.
Requirements
- At least 18 months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist.
- Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified.
- Most states require licensure.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, providing excellent patient care and maintaining a safe work environment.
