Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a travel contract.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Provide respiratory care to patients per physician orders and established policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and/or implementation of patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with management, coworkers, facility staff, patients, patients' family members, and other caretakers.
- Provide instruction to patients and other caretakers in the methods and objectives of therapy.
Requirements
- National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- CPR certification.
- At least 18 months of respiratory care experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
