Travel CT Technologist Job Description
We are seeking a quality CT Technologist for a contract with one of our top healthcare clients.
Job Requirements
- Eighteen months prior experience in a healthcare setting as a CT Technologist
- Must be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified
- Most states require licensure
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue used for medical diagnoses
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Set controls on related equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast media if applicable
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
- Charge procedures and supplies to the patient record
- Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
- Maintain an environment of excellence, focused on patient care, providing timely and compassionate care
- Promote and maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives
