CT Technologist Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce high-quality images for medical diagnoses. The ideal candidate will have 18 months of prior experience as a CT Tech, be ARRT (CT) or ASRT certified, and possess strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Set controls on CT equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast media if applicable
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
