Job Description
A travel CT Technologist is sought for a 13-week contract in Centralia, Washington.
Requirements
- 18 months prior experience as a CT Tech in a healthcare setting.
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification required.
- Licensure required in most states.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes.
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Set controls on related equipment, monitor patient and equipment, and make adjustments as needed.
- Assist radiologists with imaging procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast media if applicable.
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans.
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and label them appropriately.
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions.
- Charge procedures and supplies used to patient records.
- Load and operate power injections for contrast media administration.
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
- Maintain a safe work environment for staff and customers, incorporating national patient safety initiatives.
