The ideal candidate will have a Respiratory Therapist credential by the NBRC, and CPR certification, as well as 18 months of experience in respiratory care, preferably in a critical care setting. You'll be responsible for evaluating, treating, and caring for patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders, and providing respiratory care to patients per physician orders and established policies and procedures. You'll also participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, and assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
In addition to your clinical expertise, you'll need to be able to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, facility staff, patients, patients' family members, and other caretakers in a professional manner, and provide instruction to patients and other caretakers in the methods and objectives of therapy.
