Requirements
- Certifications/Credentials: Current License in good standing, Appropriate specialty certifications/credentials
- Experience: Eighteen months of Special Procedures/Interventional experience preferred, ideally in a critical care setting
About the Department
The Interventional Radiology Department provides assistance with patient care through technical assistance to the IR team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging Procedures: Operates conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders.
- Assist Physicians: Monitors, passes instruments and catheters, observes patient response to procedure, maintains sterile field, interprets and evaluates diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician.
- Patient Care: Delivers quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
- Compliance: Assures compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practice guidelines.
