Position Summary:
As Data Acquisition Quality Control Specialist, you will participate in the testing and monitoring of extraction processes. You will work closely with data acquisition developers and project leaders to meet our strategic business objectives. This is a temp to perm role reporting to the Data Acquisition Team Manager and will work out of the Mt. Arlington, NJ office.
Work Expectations
- Full-time: 40 Hours per week;
- Hourly during temp period; Exempt position if converted

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in testing for extraction processes
- Manage execution and monitor extraction processes
- Evaluate extraction processes and perform QA to determine updates, enhancements, and bug fixes needed
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and requirements and with development team to understand technical requirements
- Participate in regular status meetings
- Troubleshoot existing extraction processes to determine updates, enhancements, and bug fixes needed
- Sustain ongoing efforts to improve support processes and practices
- Contribute to coding keyset generation
- Ability to write clean, reusable, and easily maintainable code
- Ability to efficiently organize and juggle multiple development responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Understanding of extraction processes
Requirements
Education/Certification
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
Job Qualifications
- Entry level – No coding knowledge required
- Oracle SQL and PL/SQL Knowledge Preferred
- Knowledge of scripting languages Preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Passion for data quality
- Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technologies
- Self-motivated, works with little or minimal direction needed
