Cashier/Customer Service

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. You will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Process sales using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Perform retail math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change.
• Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members when necessary.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer experience.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Proficiency in cash handling and operating cash registers.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures or systems.
• Experience with supervising staff is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail math concepts is advantageous.
• Familiarity with product demos to showcase merchandise effectively.

This is a position where you can advance to a pharmacy technician if you are interested in doing so.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $13.10 - $13.76 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
