Description
Works directly with the Radiology Director. Schedule patients, intakes, and manage referrals. Check-in patients, answer phone in polite and timely manner, register patients, medical records, co-pay collections and deposits. Must provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism to patients and co-workers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answering the phone, co-pay collections, deposits, medical records and keeping patient files up to date and accurate.
- Creating, editing, updating, and building the patient schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime
- Responsible for registering patients in a timely manner.
- Prepares and submits insurance forms, obtains authorizations and any additional documentation in accordance with requirements of insurance companies and contracted clients.
- Ensures accurate and timely payment posting
- Maintains confidentiality in working with all patient accounts, insurance, and financial information always. Complies with HIPPA guidelines to protect patient data privacy.
- Listening effectively to patient complaints while finding effective solutions through fact finding with staff and providers while monitoring complaints for on-going trends.
Requirements
- Radiology Scheduling Experience Strongly Preferred
- One Year Insurance Authorization Experience
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Advanced Knowledge of EMR Systems
Education
- High School Degree or GED
