Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with a focus on providing high-quality nursing services across diverse patient populations. This role requires advanced clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
- Perform advanced nursing procedures such as cardiac catheterization, IV infusion, and catheter care.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and treatment plans.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust care plans as necessary, ensuring adherence to medical protocols.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes using appropriate medical terminology and coding.
- Participate in utilization management activities to optimize resource use while ensuring quality care delivery.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in nursing practices, particularly in geriatrics and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
Experience
- A Master’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification is required for this role.
- Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably within a Level I Trauma Center or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology is essential for effective patient assessment and communication.
- Experience working with geriatric populations or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with utilization management practices will be an advantage.
