What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Toting Technician position at MedScript LTC Pharmacy?
MedScript LTC Pharmacy is looking for a Pharmacy Technician for our toting department on the pharmacy floor. The available shift is 7 days on/7 days off!
- Work ten hour shifts for seven days straight & enjoy the next seven days OFF!
- OFF work every other week!
- This is a set schedule: Wednesday - Tuesday, 12:30pm - 11pm
No experience necessary - training will be provided on the job. If you are interested in becoming a licensed pharmacy technician in the state of Indiana, we have a board-approved training program that will allow you to work as a Pharmacy Tech In-Training for one year prior to obtaining a pharmacy technician license. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws, regulations, and rules related to long term care pharmacy. We ensure the highest quality standards of practice for our long term care facilities. The Pharmacy Toting Technician will assist with the sorting of medications for dispatch, and will also be responsible for stocking supplies, sealing bags, closing totes, & keeping the distribution area clean & organized.
Primary Duties:
- Assist the pharmacist in sorting medications for dispatch
- Assist the leads with missing labels
- Clear dashboard
- Print & sort all delivery manifest
- Seal all bags for dispatch
- Set up dispatch for next delivery
- Keep area neat of debris
- Stock supplies such as bags, boxes, ice packs, etc.
- Work as a team to sort medications to the correct totes/specified routes
- Training on pharmacy floor tech duties (automation/filling/returns etc.)
- Other duties and/or projects as required and assigned
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. Licensed Pharmacy Technician preferred. Board Approved Pharmacy Tech In-Training Program offered to non-licensed individuals who wish to obtain a Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Indiana.
Experience:
This is an entry level position.
