For over 30 years, MedServ has been a leading Home Medical Equipment Provider. Join our compassionate, professional team as our Customer Service and Administrative Assistant. This role will interact with customers, patients, and healthcare professionals to process home medical equipment and supplies.
JOB DUTIES:
- Answer phones and receive faxes
- Process equipment orders and print delivery tickets
- Assemble patient charts and process paperwork
- Verify health insurance coverage
- Complete patient intake records, process equipment orders and delivery tickets
- Liaison between patients, home care coordinators, discharge planners, and providers to obtain accurate information required for billing
- Provide backup coverage for retail sales as needed
- Knowledge of Brightree and/or EPIC preferred
- Knowledge of DME/HME billing experience is helpful, but not required
- Reliability, punctuality and perfect attendance (not withstanding sick days).
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills a must with co-workers, patients and caregivers.
- Availability to work Saturdays (on rotation)
- Commitment to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Competence using computers and related technology
- Must be willing to work with all consumers regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, and/or disabilities
