Job Description

Job Title : Cath Lab Tech

Job Specialty : Radiology / Cardiology

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour (07 : 00 - 16 : 30)

Guaranteed Hours :

Experience : Minimum of 2 years required with 1 prior travel assignment

License : Must have appropriate state license or compact license

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, ARRT, MD Board of Physicians certified

Must-Have : Flu vaccine is required - no exemptions

Job Description :

• Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Execute ASD closures, cardiac implant closure device placements, and cardiac stent placements
• Conduct diagnostic catheterizations for adults, along with left and right heart catheterizations
• Manage the placement and removal of IABP and temporary pacemakers
• Insert and program AICDs and pacemakers
• Perform accurate monitoring and equipment setup
• Maintain sterility as a scrub, prepare access sites, and perform EKG lead placements
• Recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and act as a room circulator
• Operate vascular closure systems like Perclose and StarClose
• Preferred : Experience in electrophysiology (EP) lab and interventional radiology
• Preferred : Skills in cardiac ablation, hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and permanent pacemaker insertion
• Handle 5 cases per day with adult and geriatric patients
• On-call duty for 10 shifts per month, including 24-hour weekend call shifts
• Requirements for staff to float within units of equivalent or lower level acuity
• Scrubs provided in blue color
• Cerner experience is preferred
• Modules to be completed pre-start and potentially during orientation, with up to 28 hours of orientation required at 50% non-billable.
