Cath Lab Technologist
Shift : 4 x 9 Days M-F 0700-4 : 30PM
On Call / Weekend Requirements : 10 call shifts / month : 1 Friday per month, 6 Mon - Thurs calls per month, and 3 24-hour weekend call shifts per month
NO OTHER WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS
Float Requirement : None
Local Rate within 60 Miles of facility
Job Requirements
2 years of experience required with Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, ASD Closures, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult, IABP Placement / Removal, Left heart catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Right heart catheterization, and Temporary Pacemaker
Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, interventional radiology and special procedures experience preferred; EP lab skills preferred to include insertion and programming of AICDs, pacemaker insertion and cardiac ablation
Must have experience with Accurate monitoring, Equipment set up, Perform EKG lead placement, Prep access site, Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, Room circulator, Scrub- maintain sterile field, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose) with procedural Skills Preferred : Isolation Precautions, Use of Rapid Response team
1 prior travel assignment required
Additional Details
Required upon hire. Aya : CCS must complete Aya I9 / E-Verify attestation located in facility-specific documents once I9 & E-Verify are complete.
A valid driver's license will be required if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.
