What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner, Women's Health / Ob/Gyn position at MedStar Medical Group?
MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is seeking a nurse practitioner to practice out of our well-established Women's Health/Ob/Gyn outpatient offices, located in Silver Spring, Olney, and Gaithersburg. Join our exceptional and well-supported team of three physicians (soon to be four) and two women's health nurse practitioners who have vast experience with managing the well-being of women at all ages. MedStar Montgomery Medical Center has been a cornerstone of the area with a long and rich history dedicated to serving the citizens of Montgomery County and the surrounding communities.
The nurse practitioner in this role will be responsible for seeing new and follow-up patients across a broad spectrum of women's health services, solely in the outpatient setting. Responsibilities consist of performing in-office procedures, including, but not limited to, colposcopy, insertion/removal of Nexplanon, and IUD. Ultrasound experience is a plus, but not required. This position will not include any inpatient or surgical responsibilities.
New graduates are welcome to apply. Nurse practitioners with WHNP credentials are preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate will have thorough documentation skills, great work ethic, and ability to work autonomously while being connected regularly to MD/DO, WHNP, and administrative support. The schedule for this role will be Monday through Friday as a full-time (1.0FTE) provider working 8am-5pm, which includes a half-day of admin time. This job excludes holidays, weekends, after-hour, or call responsibilities.
