Job Summary :

MedStar Health is seeking a Program Coordinator II to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital! This is a unique opportunity that will require travel between different dialysis clinics in the DMV area.

In this senior-level role, the Program Coordinator II provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth management of the department's activities. This position is responsible for coordinating outreach efforts to regional nephrologists and dialysis clinics, fostering strong relationships to support the transplant program. The role includes organizing and conducting site visits at dialysis centers to engage with staff and potential transplant candidates, promoting program awareness, and ensuring alignment with the program's mission.

Primary Duties :

  • First point of contact for referrals and information about our transplant program. Establishes and maintain positive working relationships with referring nephrologists, dialysis centers, patients, all levels of personnel, stakeholders and leadership.
  • Provides administrative support for the department to include, but not limited to : processing referrals, TxAccess provisioning, patient registration, and updating referring providers with patient status.
  • Drafts, types, and edits internal administrative documents and external correspondences promptly and accurately, ensuring clear communication with outside providers and referral sources.
  • Manages the flow of procedural orders, patient referral documents, images, and other paperwork essential for the transplant evaluation process, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
  • Coordinates schedules for various functions, including patient appointments, outreach site visits to dialysis clinics, and meetings with referring providers, as well as departmental staff and leadership.
  • Develops and maintains informational materials for distribution to patients, referring nephrologists, and dialysis centers to support outreach and communication efforts.
  • Maintains and updates data in various systems and databases, including referral tracking systems, and ensures accurate records for patient outreach and communications with external partners.
  • May be responsible for generating, managing, and reviewing reports / forms related to patient referrals, outreach efforts, and other relevant data for use and distribution both within and outside the department.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Experience : 5 years of related administrative experience.
  • Shows excellence in interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Sound judgement and ability to think, act and make decisions independently.
  • Strong public relations, finance, operational, and organizational skills necessary.
  • This position has a hiring range of $58,656 - $93,246
