What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Pharmacist - FT Days/Evenings position at medstar-pilot?
MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center has a full-time opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist to join our patient-focused team in Clinton, MD. This position will work primarily day and evening shift with rotating weekends. May occasionally work night shift for back-up coverage.
Collaborates and consults with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficacious and cost-effective prescribing, dispensing, administration and monitoring of medication in the provision of pharmaceutical care. In so doing, the pharmacist must have current, specialized drug knowledge and demonstrate judgment, communication skills, self-direction and motivation to affect positive interventions in patient outcomes. Also, participates in educational programs, as necessary, to provide basic and advanced services of the Pharmacy Department.
