What are the responsibilities and job description for the Revenue Cycle Analyst MPBS position at medstar-pilot?
Supporting the Liaison Unit, the Revenue Cycle Analyst (RCA) is responsible for generating analytics that identify trends and opportunities for improvement through all phases of the revenue cycle. The incumbent must be well versed in all phases of the professional services reimbursement cycle and understand how scheduling, registration, billing/claims submission and reimbursement data is configured. Tasked with reporting assignments as directed from the Liaison Unit, which can be as a result of inquiries from supported service lines, entity leadership, corporate service areas (including but not limited to Compliance, Managed Care, General Accounting, Customer Service, Finance and others), or as a result of internal MPBS requests, defines the criteria for the data search, and then leverages a variety of spreadsheet and database tools to gather and aggregate supporting detail. Evaluates the data to derive conclusions in relation to the request. Possesses advanced communication and technical skills to present findings in a concise and illustrative format. Handles multiple assignments concurrently while meeting deliverable deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
