Certification Requirements
As a nurse in our emergency room team, you will need to possess the following certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (Neurological Injury and Hemorrhage Score) Certification
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced registered nurse to join our emergency department team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in general emergency care, conscious sedation, telemetry, vent management, and Cerner.
Work Schedule
The successful candidate will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, with every other weekend coverage, which includes six weekend shifts every six weeks on Friday and Saturday nights.
Unit-Specific Information
You will be working in our General Emergency Department-Combined Adult/Pedi unit, providing care to patients of all ages.
Additional Requirements
In addition to your nursing qualifications and certifications, you will be required to complete an I9/E-Verify attestation and provide a valid driver's license if driving on behalf of MedStar Health is an essential function of the job.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
- At least 2 years of experience as a registered nurse
- Current ACLS, BCLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
